12 CAMP MUST-HAVES

(Camp Packing List)

Bolded items are required.

ESSENTIALS FOR: ALL SEASONS

 

  1. Pens or pencils, bring multiple

  2. Water bottle, 16oz size or larger

  3. Backpack (standard size)

  4. Bedding (pillow, warm sleeping bag or blankets)

  5. Coat, heavy sweatshirt

  6. Chapstick

  7. Toiletries (towel, toothbrush & paste, hairbrush, soap, washcloth, etc.)

  8. Outdoor or old clothing that can be layered

  9. Long pants (jeans, sweatpants, etc.)

  10. Pajamas

  11. 2 pairs of socks/day

  12. 2 pairs of closed-toed, sturdy shoes/boots (No sandals or dress shoes.)

SUGGESTIONS FOR: MAY, SEPT-OCT​

 

  • Clothes that can be layered for chilly mornings & cool evenings

  • Short-sleeved shirts

  • Shorts

  • Sunglasses

  • Hat

  • Bug spray

SUGGESTIONS FOR: NOV-APR

  • Heavy coat

  • Beanie

  • Mittens or gloves

  • Waterproof clothing

  • Snow boots

  • Warm clothing (long sleeves, pants, etc.)

DON'T FORGET

 
  • All student luggage (suitcases, bags) should be marked with a FIRST and LAST name.

  • Student phones ARE NOT allowed at camp, pack a camera for photos.

  • Check the weather in Big Bear to prepare for the MHP location.

  • Check the weather in Lake Arrowhead to prepare for the Blue Jay location.
